Ronald Gafford
CEO, Austin Industries in Dallas
Ron is CEO for
Austin Industries in Dallas, one of the largest, most diversified
construction companies in the United States. A former member of
the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, Ron earned a bachelor of building
construction in 1972 and was certified in Harvard Business School’s
Advanced Management Program in 1987. Prior to joining Austin Industries,
he was a development and construction partner with the Trammell
Crow Company in Atlanta, GA and, prior to that, a project manager
with the Henry C. Beck Company in Dallas.

Ron
has served as chairman and vice chairman for all three Austin Industry
subsidiaries. He has over 35 years of diversified experience in
the construction industry, including seven years in commercial and
residential real estate development. He currently serves on the
board of the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce (Chairman, 2007),
Dallas Citizens Council, the Dallas Symphony Association (Advisory
Board), Trinity Industries, Chaparral Steel Company, Interfaith
Housing Coalition Foundation, Preston Hollow Presbyterian Foundation
(Chairman), and Lakehill Preparatory School. |
